Grok Bot — the $20 thing is not an upgrade

You are already on SuperGrok Heavy (~$300/mo). That is the highest self-serve Grok Bot weekly pool. There is no “Premier” SKU that sits above Heavy for one person and magically adds cheap Bot headroom.

Where you are now

Grok Bot app showed SuperGrok Heavy · 75% of this week’s Bot meter, reset in about 5 days.

Bot usage is its own weekly bucket. It does not eat ordinary Grok chat or Cursor editor quota. Extra work after 100% can go on-demand (token/model rates). xAI has not published a Bot-specific spend cap.

The $20 you may have seen

Cursor Pro is $20/mo. That is the cheapest door into Grok Bot — for someone who has no Bot yet. It is less Bot allowance than Heavy, not more.

Buying Cursor Pro on top of Heavy does not add the two pools together. Official rule: if Cursor and SuperGrok both apply, Bot uses whichever grant is larger. They do not stack.

What you get if you “upgrade”

Cursor Teams Premium (~$120/seat): more people on one team, admin, SSO. It does not mean your one Heavy bar becomes 2×. Cheap-looking, wrong tool if the goal is “more Bot for Michael.”

Change limit / on-demand (the menu under 75%): this is the real “more.” You keep working after the weekly bar. You pay model/token cost. Set a cap or it can run.

Wait ~5 days: weekly reset. Free. Shop was running too many desks at once (cover + science + prices + social). That is why 75% happened.

Recommend (assumption — you stamp)

Do not buy Cursor Pro ($20) or Teams Premium thinking it upgrades Heavy. Stay on Heavy. Throttle the Bot shop until reset. Turn on on-demand only with a dollar cap if a named job cannot wait five days. Enterprise only if you want contracts and controls, not cheap tokens.
