Phone → desk with mic

You’re on the plain HTTP helper (this always opens). Mic needs the HTTPS door below. Laptop can open HTTPS; phone usually fails when Tailscale DNS is off or Private DNS is hijacking.

1 — Tap this (HTTPS, mic)

No port number. Tailscale must show Connected.

2 — If that tap fails (“can’t open” / DNS / timeout)

  1. Open the Tailscale app → make sure you’re Connected.
  2. Tailscale → Settings / DNS → turn Use Tailscale DNS (MagicDNS) ON.
  3. Android system: Settings → Network → Private DNS → set to Off or Automatic (not dns.adguard / Cloudflare Private DNS). Those break Tailscale names.
  4. Toggle Tailscale off → on. Wait 5 seconds. Tap the gold button again.

3 — Chat-only fallback (no mic)

Open desk on HTTP (works, no mic)

Same bubble and Eve voice out. Microphone stays locked until HTTPS opens.
